Shay Cafe

Shay Cafe is a middle eastern pastry and coffee shop. This logo was designed along with an eight page menu and a hand-crafted sleeve. The word “shay” translates to “tea” in Arabic. The traditional Arabian coffee pot, also known as a dallah, is tipped over at an 18° angle to suggest the gravitational potential energy. The Alpine Script font is modified to resemble a stream of tea/coffee pouring out of the spout. The Shay Cafe menu and sleeve design is inspired by Moroccan lanterns. It is bound together with a saddle stitch, and the sleeve is hand-cut and crafted.
